70 Million-Dollar Hollywood Movie To Feature AI Actor

Erica, an AI robot is set to star as the lead character in an upcoming movie “b”.
The 70 million dollar science fiction film will be the first of its kind to feature a robot.
The movie tells the story of a scientist tasked to create a perfect human DNA. However, things get dangerous and he is forced to assist his creation, Erica, flee the lab.
According to Sam Khoze, a producer of the movie, the humanoid robot was created from scratch to play the role.
“We had to simulate her motions and emotions through one-on-one sessions, such as controlling the speed of her movements, talking through her feelings and coaching character development and body language,” he said
Erica was created by Japanese engineers known as Hiroshi Ishugoro and Kohei Ogawa as part of their study of robotics and human-computer interaction.

To prepare her for the role, these engineers had to “teach” Erica how to act, by applying the principles of method acting to artificial intelligence.
The life-like robot can blink, chat, move its head, and recognize faces.
Erica has already shot certain scenes in the movie in Japan already and is expected to shoot the rest in Europe in June of 2021.
