
Accra North Startup Event To Come Off On 28 November
Startups undergoing incubation at the GTL Pokuase Campus will host startups, techies and youth entrepreneurs in the Accra North Municipality on 28 November.
Dubbed “Accra North Startup Event”, the event will be held on the theme “Leveraging Technology To Improve Healthcare Delivery.”
In an exclusive interview with www.digitaltimes.africa, Miss Rebecca Addae, Non Base Associate, GTL Pokuase Campus, indicated that the event is aimed at bringing healthcare professionals, startups and individuals interested in “ how best tech can be used to bridge the gap in the health sector”.
According to her, startups partaking in the incubation programme at the GTL Pokuase, “are working on impacting the health sector with the aid of technology”, hence there is the need to bring stakeholders in the industry to network and learn more.
She added that the two startups, “are both curbing problems relating to health-care delivery in Ghana.”
The startup Obaatanpa, targets pregnant women and enables them to have easy access to a doctor to help them from the pregnancy stage till delivery, whilst the other, MedLyf is working on being able to access a doctor in any region of your choice, booking appointments, getting treatments and the right diagnoses online, the Non Bas Associate explained.
“So all the information will be on their site and their mobile app when the product is ready for the market, she added.
