Stakeholders Called On To Support The Startup Agenda: Ghana Startup Summit

The Business Banking Director , ABSA Ghana, Mrs. Grace Anim-Yeboah, has called on stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to support the startup agenda for the long term impact in Ghana.

According to her, this would go a long way to support entrepreneurs who are seeking to solve solutions locally with their initiatives.

Keynote Speaker was speaking at the Ghana Startup Summit which was held in Accra. It was held on the theme; ‘‘ The Role of Web Development and Entrepreneurship in building solutions that translate to job creation and economic development.’’

The summit was organised by Ghana Tech Lab under the auspices of the Mastercard Foundation and partner hubs.

The event brought together 17 startups from across the country, which were drawn from this year’s Web Development program under the Base Program of GTL.

She lauded the startups on their zeal to solve local issues through their initiatives and how far they have come.

Kofi Dadzie, Mastercard Foundation stated that MasterCard Foundation is determined to strengthen the tech ecosystem and startups across the country.

He indicated that the move would assist in creating sustainable jobs and ensure thorough development in the country.

He added that the partnership with Ghana Tech Lab would go a long way to impact the technology and entrepreneurial ecosystem across the country by creating jobs.

He congratulated the startups for how far they have come and stated that there is great hope for the future with through their initiatives.
